Field Officer

Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is recruiting three Field Officers, one each for the Central, West and East regions of Uganda, for a five-year health systems strengthening project. You will work directly with local partners and communities to keep activities on track.

Key Responsibilities

• Support coordination and monitoring of project activities at field level so schedules in the activity plan are met.
• Share information among the project team, implementing partners and community participants.
• Support activities at community, facility, diocesan and district levels, including supervising, mentoring and monitoring community-level implementers.
• Mobilise community leaders, representatives and local government to take part in the project.
• Support capacity-building events and coordinate, monitor and report on volunteer activities.
• Compile community-level data, contribute to reports and support partner coaching and mentoring.

Requirements

• High school diploma in social sciences, development studies, social work and social administration, or a related field; a bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• 3 to 5 years of work or volunteer experience in community development and mobilisation; additional education may substitute for some experience.
• Computer skills and fluency in English.
• Knowledge of local languages in the project areas is highly desirable.
• Good listening, analysis and interpersonal skills.
