Nursing Officer (Critical Care)

The Health Service Commission is recruiting a Nursing Officer (Critical Care) for public health facilities including the Ministry of Health, national and regional referral hospitals, and other listed institutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in the critical care unit.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Operate and maintain critical care equipment, including ventilators and cardiac monitors.
• Respond to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions.
• Document patient care accurately and on time.
• Work with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatment plans.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing.
• Specialisation or relevant training in Critical Care Nursing.
• Valid registration and practising licence with the relevant professional council.
• Experience in a critical care setting is highly desirable.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
