Manchester United vs Roma clash interrupted as fans launch furious protest
Manchester United fans interrupted their Champions League clash against Roma with a protest against the club’s ownership.
Numerous green and gold balloons were released from the Stretford End in the 21st minute at Old Trafford, as supporters vented their anger at co-owners at Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the Glazer family.
This prompted the referee to halt the game for a few seconds, with the protests mid-game following other protests outside the ground before kick-off.
Potential delays had been warned in the build-up to the match, as the I Paper reported escalated fan action.
