High Speed Rotary Slicing Technician

Dalilang Foods & Beverages is hiring a High Speed Rotary Slicing Technician in Namanve, Mukono.

Key Responsibilities

• Set slice thickness and adjust rotary cutting heads to specification for crisps and chips
• Keep blades sharp through inspection, sharpening, replacement and calibration
• Inspect, diagnose and repair slicing equipment using manuals and fault codes
• Apply lockout and isolation protocols before intrusive work
• Check guards, interlocks, alignment, calibration and lubrication before clearing machines for production

Requirements

• Ordinary, National or Higher Diploma or a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, Automation, Plant Maintenance or a related technical field; or a technical trade certificate or TVET/UBTEB apprenticeship in mechanical fitting or plant maintenance
• Precision blade calibration and mechanical fitting
• Safety lockout procedures and fault diagnosis
