Procurement & Logistics Officer

SunCulture is hiring a Procurement & Logistics Officer in Kampala to source and move the goods and equipment its solar projects need.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate and purchase goods, materials and services for solar projects
• Build relationships with suppliers, vendors and contractors to secure good terms and lead times
• Work with project managers and engineers on requirements and specifications
• Review requisitions and create purchase orders within policy and budget
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery, quality or pricing issues
• Keep inventory records and monitor stock of solar equipment, components and spares

Requirements

• Experience in procurement and logistics
• Understanding of supply chain principles
• Negotiation and communication skills
• Proficiency in inventory management systems
• Knowledge of international shipping regulations
• Ability to prioritise several tasks, with attention to detail
